About
Afteralls exists for everything that happens after the shoot.
We work in the space between capture and delivery: the part of the process where raw material becomes finished creative work, and where most of the hours actually go.
The Work
Shooting Is Only
The Beginning.
A shoot produces material. It does not produce a finished piece of work. Everything between those two states is a craft in its own right, and it is the only thing this studio does.
- Editing Choosing what survives, and in what order.
- Retouching Removing what distracts without removing the person.
- Storytelling Deciding what the material is actually about.
- Design Giving the work a form it can be delivered in.
- Motion Making a still idea move without making it loud.
- Delivery The formats, sizes and specifications the real world asks for.
01
Quality is in the details.
The difference between competent and finished is almost never one big decision. It is a hundred small ones (an edge, a colour cast, a cut two frames early) that nobody notices individually and everybody notices together.
02
Consistency matters.
A single beautiful frame proves very little. A gallery of nine hundred that all belong to the same wedding, shot in five lighting conditions, proves the thing a client is actually buying.
03
Your style comes first.
We have opinions and we keep them to ourselves. The work leaves under your name, so it should look like you made it. An outsourcing studio with a signature style is a studio with a conflict of interest.
04
Technology should serve the idea.
New tools are worth learning when they make something possible or make it faster without making it worse. They are not worth adopting because they are new, and they are never the reason a piece of work is good.
05
Good outsourcing should feel in-house.
The measure is whether working with us feels like having more capacity, or like managing a supplier. Everything about how this studio operates is arranged around the first one.
Human + Technology
We Use New Tools.
We Keep Human Judgement.
AI is one of the six things this studio does, and it is genuinely useful: for imagery that could not be photographed, for extending a frame, for the parts of masking and cleanup that were always mechanical.
It is not used to decide what a piece of work is about. Direction, selection and the judgement of when something is finished stay with an editor, and nothing is generated into your photographs unless you have asked for it.
If you would rather no AI-assisted step touched your files at all, say so and none will.
Who We Work With
Behind
Other People's Work.
Almost always another professional. We sit behind the people who face the client, which is why most of our work is never credited to us.

Creative teams Extra hands, on your tools
An international studio,
working quietly.
- Remote by design
- The studio was built to work this way rather than adapted to it. Nothing about the process assumes you are in the same room, or the same country.
- Time zones as an advantage
- Work sent at the end of your day is in progress while you sleep. For a lot of clients the distance is the reason the turnaround works.
- One point of contact
- You deal with people, in writing, in English, without a ticketing system in between.
You create the work.
We help finish it.
